2010 Events

The KCRA will be participating in the 11th annual International Lighthouse/Lightship weekend on August 21 from Nortons Point in Coney Island ILLW# US0091. Read the full article for more information.

The next KCRA meeting on Tuesday September 21st will feature a hands on lab session on the topic of LED's.

During this lab you will learn all about LED's. What they are made from, their history, and why you should have a few lying around.

Our 2010 Field day was a great success, after almost not having one this year.  The members of the board had to quickly find another spot when we lost access to our previous location.  In the past, we had enjoyed air-condition, couch, TV and the nearby convince of facilities under one roof. The open, 5 acres of tree lined field, that we camped on, allowed us enjoy the fresh sea breeze, BBQ, and enjoy the wildlife.

Please be advised that nominations for all offices of the Kings County Repeater Association need to be received by the September 21st meeting.

All full members in good standing are eligible to run for any office of the KCRA. If you are interested in running for office, please contact the recording secretary, send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., call the KCRA action line (917-727-6430), or voice your matter at the September 21st meeting. If no challenger for an office is received by the October meeting, the incumbent shall be deemed re-elected at the November meeting.
